The Ras Al Khaimah Lime Brick Factory, which is also located nearby, use "NOORA" Lime in combination with silica sand in the production of Calcium Silicate Bricks. The raw materials are homogeneously mixed with water and then formed into shape by automatic presses. The bricks are then placed in an autoclave at a pressure of 15 atmosphere for 10 hours. Calcium Silicate Bricks have several advantages such as aesthetic appeal in various sizes and colors, easy maintenance, good thermal and sound insulation and high compressive strength conforming to BS 187. Applications include load bearing construction, boundary walls, cladding and paving. lt is suitable for use in multi-storey buildings, villas, schools, hospitals, hotels, and warehouses.
